DJ Khaled and Drake team up for the first time since Major Key‘s hit single “For Free.”
Despite Khaled screaming all over the Internet the now-famous chant: “ARE THE DRAKE VOCALS IN YET!?”, the new track between Khaled and the 6 God is fire!
The collaboration “To The Max” will be featured alongside the certified platinum hit “I’m the One” for Khaled’s tenth studio album Grateful, which is slated for a a June 23rd release.
Listen below and as always let me know if the track is hot or not.
How many actors in Hollywood have successfully done what Childish Gambino (real name Donald Glover) has done in their careers?
Don’t get me wrong…Hollywood is full of actors that dedicate themselves to several crafts outside of acting; however, none of them have had a strong cultural impact like Glover and his stage persona, Childish Gambino.
This past weekend, Gambino performed at The Governor’s Ball Music Festival, in which he made the announcement that Governor’s Ball is the only show he’s doing this year. Although that was a mildly exciting statement from ‘Bino, he saved the big announcement for the end of his show.
Naturally at one of the summer’s biggest music fests, Gambino played “Redbone” for the audience. However, it was the way he lead himself into the song that was dope in my opinion. He used the “What ‘Redbone’ would sound like…” meme to incorporate the song into his setlist.
After finishing his setlist, he used the final moments of his time to tell the audience, “I’ll see you for the last Gambino album” which lead several audience members to scream “What!?” in disbelief.
For all things considered, it’s no huge surprise Donald is stepping away from making music. From being cast in major Hollywood productions such as the Lion King live-action remake and as a young Lando Calrissian in a Hans Solo Star Wars, and being all hands on-deck with FX’s Atlanta ANDbeing a father sometime last year—music should take a backseat for him.
To be honest, I’d be content with just one final Gambino album–only if it’s done right!
Watch the video for “Kill Jill” by Big Boi feat. Killer Mike and Jeezy. The album “Boomiverse” is available June 16th.
Although André 3000 has kept us confused as to whether or not he will release a solo album, Big Boi continues to release music at an alarming and extremely entertaining rate.
The other half of legendary rap duo Outkast will release a new album Boomiverse next Friday (June 16). Until then, Big Boi has laced fans with the album art and tracklist also.

Forever 21, Urban Outfitters Face Copyright Infringement Using Unauthorized Tupac Photos
It’s no doubt that thelegacy of Tupac will live on forever. From his music, to the brash truth he utilized in his interviews, to his cultural influences in and outside of hip-hop, Tupac lives on through us.
Furthermore, Tupac‘s legacy thrives thru merchandise featuring his likeness.
Recently, two major retail companies have landed themselves in hot water for doing that. This past Wednesday (May 31), Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters were handed a copyright infringement lawsuit by photographer Danny Clinch. Clinch claims that both retailers and various third parties such as Amaru Merchandising (Tupac Shakur’s official merchandise licensing company) used his photos of the late rapper to create products without his consent.
Clinch’s photo of Tupac landed on a 1996 cover of Rolling Stone magazine.
This is an image of Tupac Shakur from a 1996 cover of Rolling Stone magazine. Image taken by Danny Clinch for Rolling Stone magazine. Original image can be found here: https://goo.gl/Q1xa7X
Clinch is asking to be accurately compensated for use of his photos on the products; meanwhile asking that any remaining inventory to be destroyed.
This wasn’t the first time Forever 21 faced copyright infringement (i.e. ripping of Kanye’s “Saint Pablo” merch and Rihanna’s Fenty Puma line).
Should Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters run up a check to Clinch, or nah?
Tyrese Continues To Tease Us With A Potential “Baby Boy” Sequel
Some movies shouldn’t have sequels…for a good reason too! As iconic the movie Baby Boy is, I honestly believe the world can go without a sequel. How we are feeling doesn’t stop Tyrese for still pushing for a sequel to come to the light.
Here’s a quick timeline of everything Tyrese has said about the possible sequel.
April 30th: Tyrese showed us an Insta-vid of the famous Baby Boy scene of Jody and Yvette arguing as they walk down the stairs outside Yvette’s apartment.
May 1st: The hashtag #BabyBoy2ComingOfAge was captioned under a picture of a car that resembles Yvette’s from the movie. Tyrese shouted out John Singleton, while challenging his Instagram followers to quote their three favorite lines from the original movie.
Today, in a since-deleted Instagram post, Tyrese continued to egg us on with a movie poster of all the characters from the first film. On the poster, Taraji P. Henson, Ving Rhames and Snoop Dogg made appearances. How can everyone make a return to the film if Rodney, Snoop Dogg’s character, died in the first movie?
What are yall’s thoughts on a potential Baby Boy sequel? Leave your comments below! As always, don’t forget to subscribe to my content. Thanks for rockin’ with me thus far!
Irv Gotti Will Team Up With 300 Entertainment for a Brand New Mysterious Deal
Murder Inc. was one of the biggest music labels in the early to mid-2000s. The label spawned stars such as Ashanti, Ja Rule, Lloyd, and Charlie Baltimore. The label’s founder and CEO Irv Gotti announced earlier on his Instagram that his label is expected to go thru a major revival with some major players in the music industry!
Now, it looks like Irv decided to share the news with everyone.
Lyor Cohen and Kevin Liles of 300 Entertainment (acts included Migos and Lil Yachty among others) have a new partnership with Gotti’s Murder Inc; however, the type of deal between the three parties is unbeknownst to the general public.
“Me. Lyor Cohen and Kevin Liles. Back at it again. Everyone get ready for some dope music.”
Gotti has already signed two acts to his label, Boogiie Byrd and Atlanta duo Fitted Circle. Irv will also executive produce a new series on BET titled “Tales” airing next month.
2 Chainz Releases Cover Art + Tracklist for “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music”
It’s been a while since we’ve last got an album from….. 2 CHAINZZZZ!
Recently, 2 Chainz revealed album art and tracklist for his next project, “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music.” The cover’s artwork features an abandoned bruised-up pink house surrounded by thunder and an incoming tornado. Not quite sure of the significance behind the art and the album title, but I gotta say it’s pretty fire for an artist such as 2 Chainz.
Check out TheOriginalChatman’s movie review of “Baywatch.”
Welcome to ♠The Original Chatman’s♠FIRST EVER movie review! Stay tuned for more in the future!
Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope y’all enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend!
Sunday night, I went to the movies in what felt like forever. In true movie theater fashion, a slew of potential hits (or misses) arrive at the theater around the same time, causing a dilemma on what to watch.
Baywatch was my choice for the night. Here’s my honest spoiler-free review of it below:
Baywatch stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (The Fate of the Furious), Zac Efron, Priyanka Chopra (ABC’s Quantico), and Alexandra Daddario (San Andreas).
Dwayne Johnson plays Lieutenant Mitch Buchanan, the leader of Florida’s Emerald Bay lifeguard team. Mitch and his fellow lifeguards, which are of course beautiful women in skin-tight swimsuits, host the annual lifeguard tryouts in which only three recruits can join the Baywatch team.
However, things are not as they seem on Emerald Bay when flakka, a synthetic drug begins washing up on the beach’s shore. Additionally, the funding for the Baywatch team is threatened to be cut off—henceforth Efron’s character Matt Brody, a two-time gold-winning Olympic swimmer, comes forth as the public relations savior to keep the Baywatch team from disbanding.
Priyanka Chopra channeled her inner James Bond-villian for her role, demanding a grand presence similar to her role as Alex Parrish on Quantico, however with more comedic input than what we’ve seen her act out on screen.
Usually when comedy blockbusters are released, all the funny jokes and punchlines are revealed within the trailer. This was the opposite of Baywatch. The funniest moments of the movie came from Matt and Brody constantly bumping heads with each other. Throw in a bunch of stunts on water-skis and all-terrain vehicles, and the movie is definitely a hit for the summer.
Check out the movie trailer below and go see Baywatch in theaters now!

This past Sunday (May 28), Wiz Khalifa was slandered all over the Twittersphere after he tweeted what he believes Memorial Day means to him. Wiz tweeted, “Memorial Day is about getting sh-t faced and eatin’ bbq.”
Naturally, after the tweet was sent out, several other Twitter users responded with slander towards Wiz’s Memorial Day comment.
MMA fighter and stand-up comedian Gerald Harris was one of the first to blow up Wiz’s mentions with this:
@wizkhalifa You are a real dumbass. If it wasn't for our soldiers you wouldn't have the freedom to do any of those things. They protect us from this pic.twitter.com/Yhbwvlo4vJ
After being grilled over his tweet by Harris and others, Wiz replied with, “Didn’t mean anything rude, that was just my way of saying sometime people rather focus on the good times than the bad,” he wrote.

t’s no secret that Jamie Foxx is an extremely versatile and talented guy. Although Jamie began a career in comedy, he was fortunate enough to branch out and dominate the acting world while dabbling with music over the years also.

Recently on Thursday (May 25), Jamie appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote his new game show, Beat Shazam–in which he will be the host for the show. Jamie and Fallon battled it out on a regular Fallon segment called “Musical Genre Challenge.”
“Musical Genre Challenge” puts Fallon against his guests in a battle to sing popular songs in various genres. For example, Fallon belted out a ’60s rock version of the “Bad and Boujee” hit by Migos. Despite Jimmy’s impressive attempt to flip “Bad and Boujee”, it was Jamie who stole the show away. In the end, Fallon accepted defeat calling Foxx “the most talented man on earth” by the end of the segment.
Watch Jamie absolutely kill it in the Musical Genre Challenge Below. He committed to a Broadway musical version of Baha Men’s “Who Let The Dogs Out?” and an opera rendition of Rihanna‘s “B-tch Better Have My Money.”
